After several years in leadership roles with the Crosschain Interoperability WG, first as part of EEA’s technical staff and latterly as co-chair through her EEA member company QualitaX, Anaïs Ofranc is stepping down as co-chair.
During that time, alongside co-chair Dr Weijia Zhang of Wanchain, Anaïs has helped the group produce a number of specifications and related documents, most recently the first release version of the EEA DLT Interoperability Specification, as well as implementation case studies and other reports and guidelines. She has also been involved in helping the group reach out to new members, participants, and others working on Crosschain Interoperability across the ecosystem.
QualitaX has been growing during that time, and she feels that she will no longer be able to guarantee as much attention to the task of co-chair as it takes to meet a co-chair’s responsibilities to the rest of the group.
Serving as co-chair has been a rewarding journey of collaboration and innovation. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of blockchain interoperability. As I step down, I extend my heartfelt thanks to EEA and its members for their support and look forward to witnessing continued progress in interoperability efforts
Anaïs Ofranc, CEO and founder of QualitaX
We’d like to thank Anaïs for her contributions thus far to EEA, especially her efforts as a co-chair. The volunteer role of a group co-chair, fulfilled by a number of members, is a crucial part of how members achieve important goals at EEA. It provides opportunities to learn or strengthen various “soft” skills while being involved in leading-edge technical work, for the organizations and the individuals who take it on. At the same time, it is a highly valued contribution to the ecosystem as a whole, and as EEA we are very conscious of the great debt of gratitude we owe to all who have taken on the task.
We are very glad that Anaïs and QualitaX will continue their involvement as members of the Crosschain Interoperability WG, and we’re grateful to Dr Zhang who will continue chairing, managing the role alone until a new co-chair is appointed.
